The fishermen sell their catch on the central beach of the city and also in local fish markets. However, the cost of ice purchased from third parties was proving to be a hindrance for them to obtain more profits, and the municipality opened a bidding process to acquire its own machine.
To meet the demand of local fishermen, the municipality of Garopaba was looking for a company to provide a high-production flake ice machine. The chosen company was Calabria, whose equipment stood out in all the necessary requirements.
